Breakfast Pizza

Pesto and Bacon

Breakfast Pizza with Pesto and Bacon

Ingredients:

  • 1 pre-made packets fresh pizza dough or homemade pizza crust
  • 1/3 – 1/2 cup Besto Pesto
  • 1 cup of mixed cheese or mozzarella
  • 4 slices of bacon, cut crosswise into 1/2-inch strips
  • 1 to 3 eggs (optional)
  • salt and pepper
  • Optional fresh basil, dried tomato, green onions, or chives to garnish

Preparation:

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 F. degrees or to what is instructed for the pizza crust.
  2. Spread pizza with a thin layer of Besto pesto, pour the amount needed to cover the crust.
  3. Top the layer of pesto with cheese and bacon.
  4. Choose 1,2 or 3 spots for your eggs and crack each one over the top. Season with a little salt and pepper.
  5. Bake for about 12-15 minutes. Until crust is golden brown and eggs are done to your liking.
  6. Remove from the oven. Top with green onions if using.
